Thecar is by far the most comfortable car i have ever driven, itβs fast, it has great audio, and is one of the few cars that i think looks really really good and classy while also looking ugly to me which i actually really enjoyed. it seems like i hated this car but i actually kind of fell in love with it over time and it put me on to volvos
Hieveryone, I'm in the market for a brand used car but don't have a lot of dough to spend. In my price range (a measly $2500) I'm seeing quite a few '01-'02 Volvo S60's and S80's. They look quite nice for my price range, but everyone is telling me that they are expensive to maintain. The cars I am looking at are in the 120k-180k mile range
Forfuck sake get a set of decent winter tries, doesn't really matter if your car is AWD or not if you run shity "no season" tires. Volvos AWD system (in the newer cars, 2003/04+) is Haldex AWD systems which are pretty good although it mostly runs in FWD, basically the car engages the rear axel (up to 50/50 split) when it feel like it is needed.
Purchaseadvice: Volvo or Honda. I'm seeking advice for what my next car should be. I've managed to narrow it down to the following two cars: Honda Civic 1.6 2016 I-DTEC SR 5d 118bhp. Β£11,490, 51K miles, 78mpg combined. Volvo V40 2.0 2017 D3 R-Design Nav Plus 5d 148bhp. Β£11,495, 57K miles, 74mpg combined.
Ilove Volvo's, and I have been looking into some s60's and v70's but am unsure if they are good first cars. I was wondering if these models are very reliabile and if they are expensive or hard to work on. Are there any years I should avoid, other models I should look out for, recommendations, etc.
Mid2000s S40 owners: How's reliability past 100k miles? Hey r/Volvo ! Former Volvo owner here. My first car was a 98 V70 XC in a lovely Forrest Green. It was a very-high mileage car (Grandmother bought it for me at 174k miles) that I had for 5 years before the engine catastrophically died on me. Anyways, I'm in the market for a newer car and
